OFS008 is inspired by a love of a signature Hopfenweisse out of Bavaria, and an interest in how much overlap there is between this style and New England IPAs. We fermented a wheat-led wort with a classic Bavarian wheat beer strain, and coupled this with modern US hop varieties Sabro, Sultana and Citra. The results marry the classic banana, black pepper and bubblegum esters of weisse yeast with punchy notes of pineapple, satsuma and coconut.
